The residency at Children's Health System is an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency. The residency is structured around criteria set forth by ASHP. A major residency project is required, which will be presented at the Southeastern Residency Conference in Athens, Georgia during the spring. Other smaller projects will be required throughout the year.

Application Requirements
All candidates must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree by the beginning of the residency. Each applicant must be eligible for Alabama licensure. Application to the program includes a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, pharmacy school transcript, and three letters of recommendation. Each applicant must also apply for the Resident Matching Program though ASHP. An on-site interview will be arranged once application materials have been received.
